The Fiesta des Suds, a typical Marseille musical event founded in 1992, honours regional creations while maintaining a permanent dialogue with other cultures and new modes of musical expression. More than 60,000 people come to the Dock des Suds at Marseille’s Port to see the Fiesta des Suds every year, over several nights in October. The Fiesta des Suds sets the fast tempo of the city’s pulse in unexpected locations. Artists and labels who have participated in the evolution of global musical trends for many years, from the more traditional to tomorrow’s most radical sounds, will be invited.
